Selecting the system for learning

In order to get started, you will need to select a system that you care about that you want to improve. This can be a business, a product, or something else.

Ideally, this system is one that you are familiar with. Familiarity will make progress through this guide easier. Of course, you are welcome to pick a system you are unfamiliar with, but it may take more effort to learn the system and this guide at the same time.

Before you finalize your selection, let's go over what we will be doing at a high level so that you can better decide what system to select.

You will be following a step-by-step procedure manipulating a Value Chain while focusing on a Constraint. The next lesson provides an overview of the steps, with Value Chain and Constraint explained in follow-on lessons.
